Deluma Engineering Inc., provides Acoustical Analysis on reciprocating compressors, and pump systems, which can experience pulsations or pressure variations due to the system's natural behaviour. Our engineers will ensure that your piping system design is reliable and complies with API 618 guidelines. Our Acoustical Analysis includes:

  • Calculation of dynamics forces induced by the pulsation in the piping systems.
  • Comparison of the calculated results with applicable codes and specifications with regard to pulsation levels, dynamics force levels and pressure drop limits.

A Mechanical Analysis will be able to help you avoid piping failure due to vibrations when dealing with compression equipment. Our Engineers are able to evaluate the systems reliability and make recommendations to ensure the design of a reliable piping system. Our Mechanical Analysis includes:

  • Calculation of the piping systems natural frequencies and mode shapes
  • Dynamic force response (harmonic) analysis
  • Comparison of the calculated results with applicable codes and specifications with regard to natural frequencies separation margin, piping vibration levels, and piping fatigue stresses

We are also able to provide you with Torsional Analysis for all your rotating machinery systems, such as turbines, compressors and pumps. These types of systems naturally experience torsional oscillation therefore the connecting piping should be analyzed to ensure the system's reliability. Our Torsional Analysis includes:

  • Calculation of torsional natural frequencies and torsional mode shapes.
  • Calculation of dynamic torques on the drive elements (motor shaft, engine shaft, coupling, etc.)
